The care the staff have given to my father is of the highest standards and I've never been disappointed with any aspect of care given to him. The care home is calm and the manager is very approachable should I have any questions. The meals are well presented and plentiful with lots of choice and his room is kept nice and clean.
Rosewood care home is a very warm and welcoming care home. All the staff go above and beyond to help and support my father which has given myself much-needed peace of mind to know he is in such good care. My father is very happy here, he enjoys the activities, the company of staff as well as the company of others living there.
It is always a pleasure visiting my mother at Rosewood care home, the atmosphere is calm, and friendly and the staff are so kind. I get regular updates on how she is getting on and I'm always consulted on any issues that pop up. The home is clean throughout the building and there is a good selection of food at meal times.
Thank you so much to all the staff that work at Rosewood Care Home for the work they do in looking after my mum, they are caring and treat her with dignity and respect. The cleanliness and attention to detail around the home and Mum's room are good and there are a variety of stimulating activities for all to take part in.
I feel very fortunate that I found Rosewood Care Home. The staff are outstanding, kind and patient. Their communication is excellent and they always keep me informed of everything that is going on with my dad's health and day-to-day living. I would certainly recommend this care home.
Mum came to Rosewood care home in May 2023 after a bad fall at home and needing 24-hour care. She has dementia. Rosewood care home has an excellent management team. Staff in all areas of the home work effectively as a team to ensure Mum is well cared for. The management team and staff are accessible and approachable. Any concerns are followed up and addressed promptly and appropriately. The staff are professional, exceptionally kind and care for Mum with dignity and compassion. The food is great, the kitchen is very flexible with her needs, and she is treated as an individual. She is encouraged to be as independent as she is able, and support is always on hand when she can't manage so well. Where before she was withdrawn, she now happily joins in with activities which ease her anxiety and help her mood and motivation. Our family has had a warm welcome from Rosewood, and they have exceeded our expectations. We are confident that Mum's physical, mental and emotional needs are being met.
I’ve found Rosewood care home is a caring and safe environment for my Mum and other residents to be in. The staff have always been compassionate and respectful towards my mother for which I am always grateful for. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and the food is extremely good.
I visited many care homes before settling on Rosewood Care Home as the care home that I’d like to take care of my mum. The care they give is wonderful, they’re respectful, polite towards her and treat her with the care and dignity she deserves. The home itself is clean with good facilities and there are regular activities from the staff or outside entertainers for all to engage in.
My mother is well taken care of at Rosewood care home, with the staff always going above and beyond to make sure she is safe and well cared for. She is always clean in appearance and nicely dressed when I visit her and the management team are great with informing me with how she is getting on with her day to day life.
Moving nan to a home was the hardest decision but I feel incredibly lucky that we got this home as from the moment I was contacted to now the experience has been outstanding. The staff have an obvious love for the residents and this is shown all the time. They all do this with little thanks from the residents but I know that as a family we are incredibly grateful. For me everyone has been so supportive and especially in times when nan has been unwell, taken to hospital and on other occasions. Being able to spend time with nan in the home at these times means a lot. I have to say that even though the staff are run off their feet they still made sure I was watered and fed! It's at these times you can observe the home running and this is where all the staff shine. From the nurses, cleaners, and cooks, they are all brilliant in their care and interactions with the residents. This is a brilliant home and one I would recommend as they truly do care.
I have complete trust in Rosewood care home with the care they are providing to my mother. The staff are professional and I can see from how everyone acts that it is a well-run care home. The home itself is nice, clean and light and I am kept fully informed about how my mother is doing as well as any events that are taking place within the care home.
The care my father is receiving at Rosewood is superb, the staff are very committed and go above and beyond to make sure my father gets the care he needs, I trust them completely. The manager is very supportive and has been amazing in providing advice and updating me on how my father is getting on with his day to day living for which I am grateful for. I am very happy with choosing Rosewood as a hole for my father and would have no hesitation in recommending them.
My father has been under the amazing care of the staff at Rosewood Care Home for sometime now and I can say with confidence that he is being well looked after. His room is kept clean and he is encouraged to take part in regular activities. There is plenty of choice for food, every day staff ask my father what food he’d like from the menu as well as drinks and snacks offered throughout the day.
My mother has dementia and requires a lot of care and during her time at Rosewood Care Home I’ve found the home is well run in all departments. The care staff are very kind and patient with my mother and the housekeeping team do an excellent job keeping the place clean and tidy. The food is well prepared and the activity staff are very hands-on making sure there is something for the residents to get involved with from board games to singing.
My dad is currently at Rosewood Care Home and so far I couldn’t be happier with the care he is receiving. The whole team at Rosewood is lovely and their communication with me about my dad’s health and well-being is good. The activities are good, with there always being something going on and when I’ve visited, the care home has always smelt clean.
My mother resides at Rosewood Care Home and so far has received tremendous care. The staff are professional, caring, and always go that extra mile to ensure she is well looked after. They have kept me well informed of any health problems that occur whether they are big or small and I’m glad that she is in such good hands. The food is home cooked and there seem to be lots of activities provided.
Thank you for the care you are providing to my mother. She has dementia which can be challenging however the staff are so patient with her and give her the time she needs to be well cared for. All the staff at Rosewood go the extra mile for her and they regularly contact me to update me on how my mother is doing. The food is fresh, well balanced and healthy and there is a lovely patio area which residents can go out into.
I can’t speak highly enough of the care my mother receives at Rosewood care home. I looked at several care homes before choosing Rosewood and haven’t regretted it. All the staff from the cook, cleaners, carers and manager always give one hundred per cent in the care they give and have always been caring and respectful towards my mother. The staff make the effort to interact with my mother and other residents and my mother's accommodation is pleasant, spacious and bright.
My mum has been at Rosewood for a while and me and my family are absolutely thrilled with her care. The staff are absolutely brilliant they do a wonderful job. My mum has come on so well she's very happy thank you very much for the wonderful care.
The staff at Rosewood were truly wonderful and made the last few weeks of my auntie's life as good as they could possibly be. They were fantastic in communicating with us and we were very grateful for everything they did.
My Mum stayed at Rosewood for around six weeks last year between leaving hospital and going home. The staff, particularly the manager, were very helpful and good-natured at a time when they were working under very difficult circumstances. I would definitely recommend Rosewood on this basis.
I'm writing this for anyone who is in the same difficult position we once were, trying to find the BEST home for a loved one and not knowing where to start! I hope it helps to reassure you of how incredible Rosewood is and how caring the staff are! Nan moved into a different care home in September 2020 after we could no longer care for her. It was the most difficult time, especially with the pandemic. Unfortunately Nan didn't settle well, and for various other reasons, we decided to move her. We first spoke to Rosewood's Manager, Carol, who got back to us straight away and answered all our questions. We were so worried about moving Nan again, but Carol went above and beyond to advise and reassure us. We confirmed Nan's place at Rosewood and Carol was so helpful and always available (in comparison, I was never able to get a response or speak to the previous home Manager). Not only that, Nan's new room was redecorated to her taste to ensure she felt at home. As Nan's moving day approached, the pandemic kept throwing curveballs, plus it was between Christmas and NY. Nevertheless, Carol was flexible about the whole situation and focused on accommodating whatever was best and safest for Nan. As Nan arrived at Rosewood, there was an entourage of staff waiting to welcome her and they couldn't have been nicer to me as I once again said goodbye not knowing when I'd see her next. Since then Nan has settled in extremely well and we've had regular calls and updates. Sadly, Rosewood, like so many other homes, has had to deal with COVID. This was of course worrying but Carol and the team have worked hard and tirelessly to keep Nan safe and keep us updated with weekly emails. What's more, whilst working long hours and prioritising care, the team have taken the time to video call so Nan could see us! Carol and the team put their hearts and souls into taking care of all the residents at Rosewood. Nan's care is personalised to her needs and they encourage her to be as independent as possible. They don't let Nan's dementia define her, which is so refreshing! Carol has even coloured Nan's hair whilst the hairdresser cannot visit because Nan's appearance is so important to her. We have now been able to see Nan via a window visit and Nan is once again looking well, healthy and so happy! This is all thanks to Carol and the team! Plus, we cannot forget Buddy the dog, who Nan is in love with! I really hope this helps you with your decision, you will not regret putting your loved ones care into the hands of the wonderful Carol, Kerry and all the Rosebuds!
It is a pleasure to look after Rosewood, and I am always impressed with the care you give the residents and the support your seniors give me- can I make a special mention of Vicky D, who has been fantastic. It is clear when I read emails from relatives and speak to them, how impressed and happy they are with the Rosewood team- so thank you and keep up the good work. You are right we will beat COVID and there is some light at the end of the tunnel with vaccinations, but for now I am hoping and praying for the residents and staff at this incredibly difficult time for you all, and remain here when you need me.
Hi carol, thank you for all the home has done for dad, I know the recent months were a bit harder but as a home for him I could not have chosen better. The staff were always fantastic with him and he was very settled there. I always felt welcome and got on with the staff as well.
To all the staff at Rosewood, you will always have our gratitude. I want to say thank you for all the wonderful love and care you gave to my mum over the last 3 years
So thankful to Head Office, the Manager and Staff at Rosewood care home for their care and support during the Coronavirus outbreak. As Rosewood was promptly shut down before the government lockdown rules there have been no cases of the virus in the home. I have visited my Mother looking through the window most weeks and the staff continue with their kind and caring attitude making sure Mum is by the window so I can see her and talk to her which has helped so much at this difficult time. Thank you all once again.
My mum has been at Rosewood care home for just over 18 months following a number of falls at home which resulted in her fracturing her hip and needing an operation. Her dementia had deteriorated so she wasn't able to go home. It took a while for her to become settled at Rosewood but now she seems happy and content. She is looked after well by the staff and I can rest assured that she is receiving the care she needs. Food is varied, nutritious and plentiful and it is good to know that she is eating home-cooked meals. The staff are always friendly and have a good relationship with mum.
Despite lockdown, the nurses and carers at the home have kept in constant touch with me regarding care and anything going on in the home. My relative had her birthday and she was made a cake, fussed over and I was able to facetime her. They are very thoughtful, understanding and caring and I couldn't wish for a nicer, safer place for my relative to be.
My Mother was admitted to Rosewood care home in January 2020 after a series of falls left her in hospital. She had a three week assessment period at Rosewood and it was decided that she was unable to go back to her own property, and would remain in Rosewood. As she has Alzheimer's disease, it is difficult to say if she is happy but she appears to be content to remain at Rosewood. I have been very impressed with all the staff and their ability to deal with my Mother's needs.
This is a very warm, homely and friendly care home. All the staff, the manager, care staff, housekeeper, etc treat the residents with dignity and respect, they are brilliant. They let me know if there are any health issues with my dad and I can visit him whenever I want. There are plenty of activities going on within the care home for the residents to take part in and there is a lovely patio area that my dad enjoys using in the warmer weather. Thank you all.
Staff always helpful and cheerful. Good communication when something happens or the staff are taking mum out.
My mother has been at Rosewood for a number of months now, from the beginning she has been treated with kindness and respect. The level of care she receives from all the staff and carers is second to none. I genuinely believe the care she receives on a daily basis from the carers is on a personal level rather than just a job for them. They help her maintain a level of dignity by assisting her in such a way that she feels she still has a little independence.
Rosewood Care Home provides a safe environment for the Staff and people they care for. The Staff are well trained in their respective duties and the Care home is kept clean and tidy at all times. Staff engage with the people they care for and take whatever action is necessary to ensure people are well and comfortable. The food provided ensures a healthy balanced diet. If there are any problems with the people they care for staff always keep direct family informed or doctors visits/ hospital treatment. Overall a good service is provided.
The care at Rosewood is excellent. The staff and management team are very supportive. The residents are offered a variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the home is kept clean and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Rosewood to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one.
I am very happy with Rosewood, my mother has been a resident at Rosewood for six years and is very contented. I find the staff to be kind and considerate. I find the atmosphere to be very homely and staff are flexible with the needs of families.
My mother has been a resident at Rosewood Residential Care Home since February 2015. I live in the USA and have no siblings. Rosewood gives me peace of mind that my mother is treated with kindness and dignity. She tells me the meals are always good and staff are kind and good to her. Rosewood have an active social calendar with singers, entertainers and animal events that the residents love. From time to time they take trips to the seaside or local venues and games at the home that stimulate the mind and brain. I call frequently and can always speak with my mother, staff are always courteous. Managers keep me abreast of situations that arise via email. My cousin visits when she can and always gives me a good report, such as always finding staff interacting with residents. My cousin reports that my mother is dressed nicely with hair fixed nice and clean. My cousin always tells me not to worry about my mum as she is being well cared for.
I like the staff at Rosewood as they are welcoming and positive. I personally find it hard having my mother in care but believe that Rosewood provides a positive experience. My Mum's days are purposeful and her care is very good. The activities coordinators try hard to engage as many residents as possible.
Very friendly and caring, nothing is too much trouble and welcoming with a drink.
Management and staff are efficient, good communications and friendly. Residents are kept clean and tidy. Food provided is nutritious and menus are varied to suit individuals. My mother's room is always clean and well kept. Entertainment is varied and enjoyed by my mother and I believe others. Keeping the dining room floor cleaned after meals could be impressed upon. The residential home meets all of the key activities and I would certainly recommend to others.
I find my father has settled very well and although he has a few times he finds hard the staff are wonderful with him. They are all very kind. The carers are always with the residents. The home is spotless, a peaceful but bustling environment, always something going on. Staff are always happy to be with residents. Relatives are always welcome to talk to management. Father's room is lovely, with his pictures etc. Food is very good and wholesome, very homely and friendly.
I Just wanted to say thank you so much for the care that you have been providing for my mum, you have made the transition from my dad caring for her at home to her being a permanent resident with yourselves as relaxed as possible. I want to also commend your staff, they are a credit to your home. They have all been so friendly to myself and my dad.
Good working relationship with management and carers. Treat mum with the dignity she deserves. She has been a resident for 4 years in January 2017 and her decline with has been well managed by all.
Mum was admitted to Rosewood in January 2016. Severe dementia diagnosed she had not been looking after herself. She is happy well fed and has made lots of friends since being in the home. She is 99 years old and with the care she's getting will make 100 years old next year. She has her own room with her personal stuff, pictures, ornaments, television and CD player, but she prefers to be with everyone else and her newly made friends. She's happy.
Mum has been a resident of Rosewood Care Home for almost 7 years. The staff have always shown affection towards her and go out of their way to sit and talk to her when she seems to be in distress. This is quite a regular requirement as she has vascular dementia. Even staff employed in other areas will take the time to sit with the residents and listen to them. Cleaning is a very difficult and challenging task, but in my experience this is being carried out constantly. Management and staff are very approachable if there is a problem.
Have found Rosewood welcoming and caring. All staff have very caring attitudes and react well when things become difficult. The activities are also organised well and both activities organisers make a great deal of effort. Also very happy with security and safety of residents.
Provides peace of mind as much as can be provided during this difficult period of my mother's later years post stroke and heart surgery. Professional responsible and caring always. Would recommend.
