Our family were devasted when mum and dad's needs meant they both needed to go in a residential environment. We then found Chippendayle Lodge care home. Chippendayle is a friendly, caring, relaxed, safe residential home where the care for them both was all we could ask for. Sadly dad passed away last year and mum has recently passed after suffering from severe Alzheimer's. All the staff from the carers to support staff at Chippendayle are amazing. They are friendly, caring and loving to all the residents and treat them with dignity and respect. The residents are their prime priority. We were kept fully informed of both mum and dad's welfare and needs. The addition of an enthusiastic activities manager has greatly enhanced the facilities offered. With a new manager now in place, we know Chippendayle will continue to thrive and provide an even better environment for the residents to live. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chippendayle to others.
Over all very good. Carers are nice and caring and the care home is lovely. All in all five star. The new manager is making some good changes for the residents. As I see my wife on a regular basis, I can feel the difference for the good.
In the two years that my wife has now been at Chippendayle Lodge Care Home - receiving the best of care for her condition (Alzheimer's) - I continue to be fully satisfied with the love and attention she receives from all of the staff, particularly the carers who do an excellent job, given the challenges they face working in such an environment. The management of the home overall is first class - they're always available to listen to relatives concerns and requests - and all the residents enjoy various activities and entertainment which keep them occupied and as happy as they can be.
My dad is a resident at the home and is extremely happy. He feels it's like home, the staff are very caring and spend time with him during the day. I'm delighted with the improvements since the new manager arrived last month, They are always around the home and interacts with all the residents making sure they are ok, they are active in managing the staff and encourages them to mix with the residents. I'm always made to feel very welcome when I visit. The garden is also looking amazing since it had its new makeover!

My mum has settled in so well here, she feels safe, comfortable and very well looked after. The staff who care for her are lovely, so friendly and helpful. They keep us in touch with how she is, and are always happy to discuss her care needs with us. It’s a real comfort to know she is being cared for so well, and she is happy.
My mum has been at Chips since my dad died, last April and we're very happy with the care that she has received. Mum has dementia but always enjoys company and the care staff have always been so friendly and caring towards her. They all know her name and have been great at settling her in and paying attention to her particular needs. The carers are very gentle with her as Mum now needs a lot more help due to her dementia progression. They also learnt very quickly who all the family members are and are always happy to chat with us if we or they have any concerns. There's also a lovely activities lady who is working really hard to keep everyone engaged and active.
My dad has been living at Chippendayle Lodge care home for nearly a year, and I can not fault his care in any way. Management and all staff are outstanding, and nothing is too much trouble for them. My dad is extremely happy with his care, and the staff treat him like family. I would highly recommend this home. I have scored high on everything except activities being satisfactory as they have now started more since Covid restrictions, but I'd like to see more in place for the future. Thank you to all the staff who take great care of my dad!
I was devastated when my wife (forty-eight years married) had to go into permanent care due to advanced Alzheimer's. After visiting numerous care homes I settled on Chippendayle Lodge Care Home and in retrospect, six months after moving in, my dear wife is as happy and settled as she could be. What a great decision that was! The well trained staff treat her with utmost care and respect. I have visited her virtually every day since she has been there and if I have any questions, concerns or issues they are dealt with and resolved immediately by the management. My opinion therefore is that the home is exceptionally well led by a highly competent Manager, Assistant Manager and senior Health Care Assistant, all of whom display genuine care and compassion in their tough and challenging roles. The recent appointment of a new Activities coordinator has added a huge additional benefit to the residents who now enjoy lots of varied and enjoyable activities each day.

Chippendayle Lodge is a modern, spacious and clean care home with good facilities. The staff have a wonderful attitude towards my mother and the other residents in the manner they interact with them and if ever I have any questions about my mother the manager is very helpful in answering them.
My dad booked to move in as he has Alzheimer’s and living on his own was getting too much for him as I was worried he may have an accident. We read other reviews and went to have a look around. From the first meeting, the manager couldn’t have been more welcoming and went out her way to make my dad and myself feel at ease with the decision to take a place. Unfortunately, my dad went into hospital the day before the moving date but without any questions, the manager unpacked all his personal belongings ready for his arrival, this ended up being a few weeks later and dads condition had deteriorated over the weeks in hospital but he was still able to move in as planned. All the staff are friendly and handle dads sense of humour well, happy to give me regular updates on dads progress and health, dignity and personal care is carried out perfectly by all the staff and dad has settled in well, I’m sure this has a lot to do with the way the staff treat him and the regular cups of tea and biscuits on offer!
I have always been satisfied with the care my 99-year-old mother receives. However, my mum has recently been ill, and the management and staff have been wonderful, so caring and professional not only to my mum's needs but also to my brother and myself. So compassionate and understanding to our needs as family members. Thank you, Chipps; you are all amazing.
My father has been a resident at Chippendayle Lodge Care Home for the last two years. I have always been satisfied with the care he’s received. I am so grateful to all the staff, they have always gone that extra mile every day to make sure my father gets the care he needs. The lady who organises the activities works very hard organising games and window visits for the residents and has also arranged many online chat calls to take place between my father and myself.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Chippendayle Lodge to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. The home is clean and tidy, the staff team are kind, caring and friendly and the home has a very warm welcoming atmosphere. Whenever I visit Dad I am always offered a drink and the home lets me know how my Dad is getting on. Thank you all for the amazing work you do.
I cannot put into words my gratitude for the truly outstanding level of care my mum has received since moving into Chippendayle Lodge. It is clear at all times that staff care deeply about the residents on a highly individualised basis. Mum is always beautifully dressed, wearing makeup and her nails done and speaks highly and with real affection for the staff. Her room is comfortable and immaculately clean; the food goes down a treat and staff are always interacting with residents. I am a local GP so have plenty of experiencing visiting residential care homes and this one stands out. It is incredibly humbling to see this level of professionalism and care being delivered daily. A real home from home for Mum and somewhere we are always made to feel welcome as her family. Thank you again from all the family.
Mum is always treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff are extremely caring and nothing is ever too much trouble. It's very clean and never smells as some homes do. Food is extremely nice and again, kitchen staff lovely. If someone asked what home to put a relative in, it would be here. Mum likes it here now and so are we, as a family, pleased she is so well looked after. They also support myself and my sister.
My sister, the resident in this care home settled well from day one. The staff are very caring and kind. The food is really excellent. If the need arises in the future, I have told my sons that I would be very happy to go there.
My mother had 10 weeks at this home due to me, her youngest daughter (carer), as I had major bowel surgery. My Mum and I looked around before we booked her in, and from day one the staff were polite and always had a smile, nothing was too much trouble. Carers are/were amazing, food excellent, well everything was fantastic. We would recommend this home to anyone. Management fantastic too, so a massive thank you.
The staff at Chippendayle Lodge are endlessly kind, thoughtful and professional. They anticipate problems and put procedures in place to avoid embarrassment or discomfort. Staff treat residents as individuals and always with respect.
My mother has been at Chippendayle Lodge now for 6 months. She has a lovely room overlooking the garden which is well maintained. The staff cannot do enough for her, if she requests any food or isn't happy with what is on offer on the day the kitchen will always make her something else. I visit the home regularly and I have always found the staff to be happy and very helpful.
My mum has been a resident of Chippendayle Lodge for the last year. All the staff are an absolute asset to the company as the care they give is top quality. Whatever concern or reassurance we have needed has always been met by the staff and we can not ask for more to be done knowing that our mother is in a loving and caring environment gives at peace at mind.
The staff at Chippendayle Lodge are polite, friendly and keep me up to date on how my dad is getting on. Dad's room is kept clean. There is a good atmosphere around the home. Activities take place regularly and there are several lounge areas for residents to relax in.
My brother-in-law has been happy for the past four years. Staff were very good and helpful. My brother-in-law looked on the home as his home and was very happy there. The food was very good.
My mother was admitted in Feb 2017 initially into their respite room and subsequently into a permanent room; she is well looked after and is gaining weight well as she likes the food provided. The staff are always very helpful whatever time I visit. The garden outside is much enjoyed now summer is here and gives an opportunity for more exercise and a topic for conversation. Chippendayle Lodge is the perfect place to look after mum and cope brilliantly with her complicated medical needs and daily care.
The above home is exemplary. I cannot find fault. The staff (although underpaid) are brilliant, hardworking and friendly. The management (at the home) are proficient and helpful beyond measure.
My nan has been living at Chippendayle Lodge for 8 months now and we have nothing but praise for the service! My nan has 'come alive' again! All standards are exceptionally high and it is like 'home away from home'. You can easily see that all the staff there including the chefs really care for the residents and it's not just a job. We as a family can not recommend this care home enough.
